Sick was founded in 1946. The company's name is taken from the surname of its founder Dr. Erwin sick. Its head office is in Waldkirch, southwest Germany. Sick has set up nearly 50 subsidiaries and numerous sales agencies around the world, with more than 6300 employees. In 2012, its sales performance reached 971 million euros.
